Confession...

So, I went grocery shopping today. I started at Albertson's, thinking I'd try something new (I always shop at Walmart). WELL... that was a big fat joke. My buggy was almost half full when I had a realization: Walmart is cheaper. Way cheaper. Holy cow, oh so much cheaper. Example: One bag of cereal (yes, we buy the bags - we're cheap like that) is $2.00 LESS at Walmart. And that's just one thing. The gravy? $.50 LESS at Walmart. The milk? $1.00 LESS at Walmart. The soups? $1.50 LESS per can at Walmart! Need I go on? So, oh my goodness, I had a choice to make. Either keep shopping and bite the bullet on this one, OR - and this is where my confession comes in - ditch my buggy and drive across the street to - you guessed it - WALMART. Can you guess what I did? Yep. Ditched the buggy. Half full, even. That's what they get for jacking up the prices on stuff. Dumb Albertson's. Besides, it smelled bad in there. Have you noticed that? Every Albertson's reeks of fish! So, that's my confession. I'm a buggy-leaving, Walmart-loving, bag-o-cereal-buying confessor. Yep, that's me.

Trunk-or-Treat!

I think it's funny that as I read some of my friends' blogs, there are several mentions of Trunk-or-Treat happenings! We, too, had our Trunk-or-Treat this past weekend. I only got pics of my kids pre-candified due to N taking off and running amok, with Dad (and camera) in tow, and A being Mr. Manners letting everyone else go first, hence causing a seperation of parties. The "festival" indoors was nothing less than a conglomeration of insane, uncontrolled kids trying to figure out what to do and parents just getting in the way. SO, here are the quiet, peaceful, taken-at-home-before-tears-smeared-the-make-up pics:

I'm not really sure what N is, but we found this girly costume for $5, and she finally decided this is what she wanted to be. Some of her other ideas: a plate, a sausage, a pickle, a pegasus pony, a ghost, some Indiana Jones computer game character named "Shorty", among other random and somewhat strange things... but we got to do her make-up! One of my YW had some purple lipstick to add to her "palette".

A is, of course, Indiana Jones, and a darn cute one at that! (That's his new thing these days - trains and Star Wars have currently taken a back seat.)

We had fun but we were very glad when it was over. I was a Victoria's Secret model, retired due to being knocked up by the camera man. M was the camera man. :)

What the heck is a Round Ligament??

"The function of the round ligament is maintenance of the anteversion of the uterus (a position where the fundus of the uterus leans ventrally). When the uterus grows during pregnancy, these ligaments can stretch causing massive amounts of excruciating hurts-so-bad-you-can't-waddle-let-alone-even-walk stinkin' dumb kind of pain." (Wikipedia)

I think whoever created this definition on Wikipedia left out a few words, so I took the liberty of adding them myself.

N's Rough Day at School

Yesterday, N comes up to me and says "You didn't ask me how my day was." So, I did. Her response: "Not good." Why? "Because I got my name on the board (which means they can't go out for a recess)." "Why did you get your name on the board?" "Because I accidentally knocked over the can with the name sticks in it." "You got in trouble for an accident?" "Well, it hit some kids in the head. And I was talking." I don't know what really happened, I know her teacher had her reasons, I'm sure... but I took pictures of how she looked when she got home... no joke, these are un-altered, fresh home-from-school pictures. I swear I didn't send her out like this...

Baby Update!

Just an FYI: Baby's doing fine, growing as it should! I'm 17 weeks today! Woohoo! I don't know the sex yet, I should find that out in December, I'm thinking... Doc says a tentative date for the C-section is March 26th. A little something to look forward to! (Unless this little stinker wants to makes its appearance sooner, in which case there will be a much SWIFTER C-section.) Here is my latest ultra sound - thanks to the heart beat listening device being defective, I've had 3 free ones!

What the heck are you looking at? Well, I'll tell you!
Top: Top of Baby head - don't you just want to smell it and smooch it? :) (I'm weird, I like the way baby's heads smell.)
Middle: Yeah... I'm not really sure what this is... I think this is the one where we saw the heart beating...
Bottom Left: Widdle skeleton face!
Bottom Right: I don't know if you can see it this small, but there are visible ribs in this one... and, if I'm not mistaken, which I probably am... I think I MAY see what I think would be a GIRL part... but the doc didn't say one way or the other... he's kind of a hurried man methinks. SO, we'll find out for sure in a month and a half-ish. Yay!

If you click on the pic, it will (should) enlarge it for you so you can see detail better....

Latest Pictures of the Two Crazies I Like to Call My Own

For those of you who don't do the Facebook thing, here are the latest pictures of my kids... Parents, I am holding your copies randsome... your cooperation is necessary for safe delivery of these images of your beloved, and I'm sure, well-missed grandkids. If you wish to obtain your copy of these images, drop off will only take place in my living room. I know, I'm evil.

So, I'm starting a blog...

One of my most favorite things to do is read other people's blogs. I love to see what's going on in the lives of my friends and family and have been persuaded by a very close friend of mine to start one myself. I miss seeing my family and can only hope they miss seeing me and my kids grow...SO, now they don't have to miss it. Yay, right? :) I knew you'd all be so excited!!! (ha ha) I also hope this will help me take more pictures... we forgot the camera on our honeymoon and several vacations. And if we DO bring it, it usually sits in the car or the hotel room. I'll have to keep it where I can get to it easily when a great "blog moment" arises... lol Or something like that...

So, here it is. Read it or don't read it. I'm going to do it, anyway. :)
